We are surrounded on every side by good people who are headed to hell.  What are you going to do about it?  Are you going to keep smiling?   I will not do it.  I had a vision many years ago.  Jesus had come back and everyone was walking to where he was…except those that had beABLESSEDSAVEen deceived into not accepting  Christ as Messiah.

Galatians 1

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

The Coming of the Holy Spirit

2 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested[a] on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one was hearing them speak in his own language. And they were amazed and astonished, saying, “Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, 11 both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians—we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.” 12 And all were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “What does this mean?” 13 But others mocking said, “They are filled with new wine.”

Peter‘s Sermon at Pentecost

14 But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words. 15 For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.[b] 16 But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel:

17 “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares,
that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams;
18 even on my male servants[c] and female servants
in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke;
20 the sun shall be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood,
before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day.
21 And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’

22 Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know— 23 this Jesus,[d] delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. 24 God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. 25 For David says concerning him,

“‘I saw the Lord always before me,
for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken;
26 therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced;
my flesh also will dwell in hope.
27 For you will not abandon my soul to Hades,
or let your Holy One see corruption.
28 You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’

29 “Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, 31 he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses. 33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. 34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,

“‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand,
35     until I make your enemies your footstool.”’

36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” 40 And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” 41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

The Fellowship of the Believers

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe[e] came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

I was one of the fortunate ones, though my parents did not regularly attend church…they sent me regularly!   It was there that I found Jesus.  I am so thankful because it changed my life.

Salvation is important to me.  It changed my life.  It’s first and foremost on God‘s agenda…which is why Jesus came.  No other religion or belief system can tell you this.  None!

A GOD PRMISES

But I am not even going to go there because our focus is on salvation; snatching souls back from entering the pits of hell.  Many people do not know they are headed in that direction.

But for 2013, I am asking you if you read this to commit to God to minister salvation to a minimum of five people up to as many as you can…to pray for people to be put in your path.  You see, the devil wants you to believe that you cannot tell people about Jesus.  However, God speaks to people’s hearts all of the time and the bible says the following:

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 John 5:11-13 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

What’s your version of Thanksgiving believer?  If it’s the very same as the world’s…something is not quite right.  Our vision is God’s vision…

We celebrate Thankgiving different than God does.  He must be waiting patiently for us to get on the same page.  Now, don’t get me wrong…there is nothing wrong with spending $150.00 or more for a one day meal that will last only  a few days and staying up all night cooking.    There’s nothing wrong with getting together with family or friends as a sign of love and respect to enjoy one anther’s company.  There is nothing wrong with volunteering to cook for, serve or feed the people that are less fortunate..no it’s good.  There also, is nothing wrong with doing good deeds or helping people.

And certainly, it is good to give Thanks!  No…better than good!  But, stop for a moment and think about this:   God was so serious about saving our souls from eternal damnation that He gave His only Son to come here, suffer and die as a man…to save us.  None of us could have or would have done that.  And while I am at ; let me say that the “real turkey…jive turkey…is Satan.

The Real Thanksgiving goes on in heaven!    THAT IS WHEN GOD IS PLEASED THAT WE ARE REALLY DOING HIS WORK…CARRYING OUT HIS MISSION…WITH JOY…HEELS CLICKING…HEARTS BEATING RAPIDLY…Our souls longing to save souls!   WHEW THAT’S GOOD STUFF!   (as my Pastor always says…) Yet, we can celebrate it here on earth…(Thanksgiving)  every time that a soul is snatched back from the pit of hell!   Think about it….

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Matthew 19:24-26 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved ? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.

I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.

You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.

Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.

Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself.

Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
Amen.

This Prayer originated from this site:  HERE

I was so empty before I took God on.  You know, I’ll admit that I knew about Jesus as a child.   Nobody in my family was sold out for God; not even me…as a result…the fire never burned in me.  The emptiness took over.  Eventually whatever was there was pushed to the background.  I jumped back and forth between nothingness and being with God.  Nothingness won out for a long time.  Then, I got sick of it.  There had to be something better…so I ran to the light of God.  I re discovered the Christmas miracle.

I did not automatically get the fire.  Because of that, there really wasn’t too much to hold me.  I actually found the fire looking for something else from God!    All I can say is wowee!!!

MATT 7:21 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

My prayer for you today is that when you receive the Gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ; the door to heaven…that you will ask for the fire!   God will give it to you..if you ask!

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” —Romans 10:9-13

I have been watching a great show on television!   It’s called “Person of Interest.”  The theme is about this guy who used to be Special Forces who was just drinking and walking around lost who gets recruited to be a vigilante to save the lives of intended victims…(or their intended victims).

It’s a good show in theory.

The “targeted” person is called the “person of interest.”  The hero played by Jim Caviezal (who played Jesus Christ in The Passion Of Christ) zones in to find out what’s going on and gets in a reverses the evil intentions of “whoever,” to save the person of interest.

Prayer is so critical because we are in a war.

Ephesians 6:10-19

New International Version (NIV)

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,

Notice how the above passage talks about how you must be ready and caps it off with prayer.  WHY?

Because you are a person of interest to the forces of darkness.   If you don’t get that…I don’t have enough time to teach it to you.  But, I will pray for you…that’s what I do.
