COMMENT: Folks, I don’t know what it is but when I am working on the computer and 7:30 p.m. comes around, I will automatically turn on Seinfeld, the TV sitcom. I wonder why I do it because I know that I have seen each episode at least 3 times. Maybe it’s because it has the least amount of “trash” compared to what else is on. Anyway, one of my favorite episodes is when Jerry Seinfeld mentions to his mother the fact that a certain person doesn’t like him. She is shocked and says: “I can’t believe that! How could anyone not like you?” You know, we all have to get used to the fact that everyone in this world will not be attracted to us; none of us have universal appeal. It may be the way we dress, speak or possibly we may remind individuals of someone from their past who they despised immensely. Well, “don’t get your nose out of joint”, Our Savior was rejected by many when He walked this earth. Sometimes we go out of our way to get the favor of others. It is possible that “going out of our way” is going out of God’s way. If placating someone else causes us to displease God, just don’t do it!!! Be a God-pleaser rather than a man-pleaser.
