LUKE 13:23-24 “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”
Very few people blatantly reject God. The majority of folks at one time or another come to the realization that God is real. I could go off in two directions on these. But today, I will go in the direction towards Celebrities. I watch with great amazement; how “some” rappers, movie stars and recording artists,production crews, moguls and the whole nine yards inevitably make mention of God the Father. Many use Jesus as a constant reference in the mix of their everyday conversation. I can’t say how many actually know that God is Holy. I can’t say how many know that in His presence there can’t be cursing, “dissing”, hatred, rivalry, envy, coveting, fornication, lewd dressing, self indulgence, self promotion and so much of the stuff that constantly the public is shown about their lifestyles. However, I know that in a heartbeat God would forgive any that will repent because He loves them all just as much as He loves me or you. He just doesn’t love our ways when we sin.
We the public are forced to watch “Celebrity Hokey Pokey!” It’s a bad example. I won’t name names but I have been challenged in my faith to reserve judgment on celebrities that shout out to God when they win an award; though their lifestyle and vocation may in fact be not one that is in reverence of God or worse the celebrity female who sings songs about God (even if it’s just once) and yet will dress like the world. I humble myself to pray for each and all and challenge other prayer warriors to begin to pray for their salvation.
Some Questions I ask myself about celebrities are:
1. Why is the lack of a moral code so prevalent and easily accepted?
2. Why is there so much adultery, fornication, Envying and Idolatry amongst the rich and famous?
3. Is Hollywood Satan’s playground?
4. Is being a Celebrity a cursed endeavor?
5. Why does so often the fame and wealth lead to death and destruction?
The bible says in the last days many shall be deceived; let’s pray that none of us come up short.
